Exercise the body, but don’t forget the mind and the spirit

For those who are working on diet and exercise –  don’t forget about exercising the mind and the spirit!

Wellness encompasses all aspects of the Body, Mind and Spirit, so just as your body requires healthy food and exercise, your mind and spirit also require daily exercises to ensure they are balanced.

Here are a couple of tips to focus on and include in your daily routine

You may be superfit and eating healthily, but if you are not managing your stress levels, the surges of the stress hormone cortisol that accompany STRESS dramatically increase your risk of disease as well as increase the ageing process.
So,,manage your stress!

Walk away from a stressful situation, breathe deeply, refocus and calm your self before reacting.

Learn to control and manage your stress with conscious control.  Managing your stress is all about taking control of your thoughts, your feelings and the way you HANDLE the issue at hand.

Recharge your spirit as often as you can. Really feeling inner peace deep down inside has  just the most rewarding health benefits!

Find what it is that brings you peace. It is different for everyone.  Mine is meditation . It brings me enormous peace. It doesn’t take long and I can always find  time to bring it into my day. For some, its swimming, for some its just kicking your shoes off and walking on the beach. Spending time alone and refocusing on your future is also rejuvenating. Even a good laugh with friends can re ignite your soul!

Don’t forget to  add to your daily health and exercise regime a large dose of positivity for the mind and a generous serving of peace and relaxation for the spirit! It requires dedication and consistency to feel complete wellness.
