Happiness is good for your health

When we focus on what makes us happy, we change our energy.

Shifting our energy to positive and taking the steps to acknowledge what makes us happy is paramount to wellness.

You deserve to be happy.  You  can choose to be happy. You have the ability to spread happiness.

Right now, find something to be happy about. This is the very first step in ensuring that you participate in the sheer joy of happiness.

There is ALWAYS something to be happy about.

It can be something that we experienced a lifetime ago,a year ago,a minute ago. Focus on the memory and let it flood through your being.

What memory do you hold that will release the feeling of happiness?
The birth of a child perhaps! A celebration! A kind word or an acknowledgement can bring happiness.

Reading a book, listening to music, dancing……

Recently I met my niece’s daughter Grace for the first time. She is three years old and what an absolute delightful soul she is. Smart, funny and cute as a button.When she laughs, her whole body shakes. She has a deep laugh that literally starts at her toes, fills her body and seems to burst through her head and shower everyone around her. When she laughs, you cannot help but laugh with her.  It is infectious and there is not a person who isnt effected by her raucous laughter. Whenever I think of Grace, I feel complete happiness.

If you are struggling to feel any form of happiness, stop and acknowledge what it is that is blocking you from experiencing this emotion.

Keeping a happiness or gratitude journal may help you take that first step towards bringing more happiness into your life.

It will  assist to help you identify  what is stopping you from experiencing true happiness and it will ensure you think and acknowledge past events.

Every day, be sure to write down something from your past, a thought, an event, a memory, a person, something or someone that has allowed you to feel happiness.

Each evening before you go to bed, write down in your journal a happy thought, memory or experience.

Accept that you have the power to choose happiness over sadness every day of your life.

You also have the power to spread happiness. Kindness done to others without expectations, this act in itself will allow you to experience happiness ten fold.

Happiness lies in the palm of your hand!

You can choose to feel it and you can choose to share it! Acknowledge right now, what makes YOU happy!
