If Not NOW…..WHEN?

The beginning of a new year always motivates people to WANT TO achieve all of their hopes and dreams and create huge change in their lives. (Please note…I said WANT TO.It doesn’t always happen.) Everyone I connect with has a dream and a vision waiting to be brought to life. These visions and dreams can include –
Finding their life purpose
 Changing careers
Starting their own business
Bringing to life a thought or idea that has the potential to change the world

Whatever the vision, it is always so strong, that the desire to bring it to fruition is overwhelming. They know bringing their vision to life will also bring them to life. If you are like many of my clients and have a burning desire to bring a goal or a dream or some kind of project to life in 2018, ask yourself the following questions-

– How long have you been thinking about this for?

– Do you go through your day just waiting for it to end, or do you use the day as an opportunity to create positive changes in your life that will move you forward towards your goals?

– If not NOW….WHEN?

If you want to bring your visions, goals and dreams to life in 2018, they will not magically manifest without the following three things –
Self belief + Commitment + Action.
Don’t let this year slip by without living your life to the fullest.

Choose to listen to your inner voice
We all have that knowing, that resounding inner voice that guides us forward on our personal journey. My advice to you is this – always choose to listen to your inner voice, not the jumbled opinions of everyone else. This is your journey to take. Others can walk alongside you, but no one can walk it for you. Life is a courageous journey and we need to step up and embrace all that accompanies that journey. When you need guidance, follow your own compass.

Self-esteem is the basis for success
The one thing that stops people from moving forward in life is a lack of self-esteem. Believing you can reach the dreams and goals you set yourself is half the battle. If you don’t have faith in yourself, work on your self-esteem.The more you believe in your capabilities, the more you will be effective in what you do. Fill your mind with what you can do, not what you can’t do.

Leave the past behind
Don’t let the past steal your present and future from you. Whatever difficulties you have had in the past may never happen again so dont keep holding onto them. Don’t use them to stop you from making life happen. The past is not something we can change, but we can control and change what is happening in the here and now. How you feel about life’s events is a powerful force that can either freeze you in your tracks or inspire you to take action. The time is NOW.

Give yourself permission to SHINE
I use the word SHINE a lot in my writing, sessions, books and it is even a part of my business branding. Even my new book coming out is called Project Shine. On a daily basis, I connect with people who are incredibly brilliant, funny, innovative and beautiful. Beautiful minds and beautiful hearts. I always see the persons light. It is always visible. Sometimes, that light gets turned down. We allow others to control our brightness. We might live in fear that we are not good enough or that others will judge us if we step up and fully live. The world needs you to own your power and shine as brightly as you can. Don’t dim your light because it’s shining in someone elses eyes.

What drives me personally
If you are reading this and think that I am completely out of touch with reality and
assume that I spend my days floating around meditating, writing, burning incense completely oblivious to everyday problems, I want you to know that I have had and still have many challenges to deal with on a daily basis. Massive ones infact. But in years to come, when I look back over my life, I want to be certain that I can say that I lived and didnt just exist. I want to leave books and stories behing that inspire my granchildren and hopefully many others in the world. I want my future family (the generation that will come long after I have gone) to be able to still connect to me through what I have left behind. That is what drives me to push through the hard stuff and prioritise the good stuff. What drives you and what will you leave behind?

Maryanne Williamson said the following…..
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?”
